It's waiting too long to pull more data, the buffer empties, and it never catches up.Can anyone give example codes in DELPHI when using unit BufferedFileStream & FastCopy for Copy paste a file? It's almost like VLC needs to start buffering sooner than it thinks.

All this does is allow the movie to play a bit longer before the buffering starts. I have already tried increasing the buffers in the Input Codecs tab (File, Network, Disc, etc.) from the defaults up to 3,000 ms. The measured throughput is about 4.9MB/sec, whether playing the whole disc or even an. Latency (ping time) between the server and this computer is less than 1 millisecond, and no packet loss. Transferring the ISO itself (or any file, for that matter) over the network is very fast, about 75MB/sec, which is far above the minimum required to play a Blu-ray disc.

It plays fine for a few seconds, then the picture and audio start buffering, and it never recovers.

From another computer on the same network, I'm connecting to the server via Ethernet, mounting the ISO containing the Blu-ray film, and loading the 'Disc' in VLC. I have a gigabit Ethernet network, and a Blu-ray rip sitting on a file server that presents SMB network shares.
